I have been on atkins for a couple of months and have achieved some weight loss, its great. But I have now reached a plateau in my weight and cant seem to go down anymore. I think that I am doing everything right. Any support out there for this? I am so so frustated. Also this site seems to be hard to navigate, anyone else finding this? Help?

Everyone will hit a plateau sooner or later and they will be for different reasons
1. you may be losing inches instead
2.you can change it up a little by eating just meat n eggs for a day or two and drink plenty of water while doing so...the body likes changes ;)

My husband and I have both been on Atkins for about a month. We have both lost around 6-13 pounds, mostly in the first two weeks. Now we have stalled and are actually gaining little bits each day. It's hard to eat enough calories because we're never hungry. Is it possible to not eat enough carbs in the induction phase? I am at my wits end trying to figure out what we're doing wrong. Please help!

Ever notice how on some roads, the grooves in the pavement are so deep you almost don't have to steer? The car will follow the path like it's on tracks. Our metablisms are like that. Keep doing the same thing consistently and eventually, the body adjusts, so that what you put in is exactly what gets burned. In the beginning the change is enough for your body to respond positively but if nothing else changes, the body will respond to the routine in kind. To keep the fires burning, almost literally, the key is to adjust your daily intake up and down, and make sure you have a hedonistic day once in a while; such rewards make the journey that much more fun. It's also a way to keep your metabolism on its figurative toes. Respectively, those two methods are known as zig-zagging and shocking. I also cannot stress enough the importance of physical activity, both cardio and resistance training. By creating a significant but every changing differential between what you consume and what your body burns, you can ensure that your loss continues and that your energy levels, your stamina, strength and edurance increase in kind.

First - congrats to everyone on your losses
Second - consistency is important. "cheat" days are not the answer to reaching your goals with Atkins. Following the guidelines - regardless of your speed of loss is important.
Weight loss is not linear - there will be times when you lose weight, times when you don't. Stalls and plateaus are part of the normal process. Eating off plan is not going to speed up your progress, end a stall or plateau.
There are specific tips in NANY to help break a stall that are proven to work without heopardizing your progress. Once you are in ketosis and burning fat - the last thing you want to do is go back to burning carbs for fuel instead of fat...you are derailing your progress by doing this.
Stick with the program and it will work. Reducing your menu to meat and eggs is also not a good idea - you need the nutrients the veggies provide.
I suggest reading hrough pages 128-129 to understand exactly why your body stops losing weight for a period of time. But here are some things to look for:
Have you been eating the right foods or adding a little inappropriate ones from time to time?
Are you accurately counting your carbs? Has carb creep set in? Weighing, measuring and tracking everything you eat and drink? If you are in OWL - reduce your net carbs to the level when you were losing last. If you ar ein induction - ensure you are accurate with yout carb counts, getting all your veggies etc.
Are you eating the right amount of protein and fat? There are guidelines for the amount that each person should eat.
Although calories aren't the main player - calories still matter. Are you within the appropriate calorie range? For women 1500-1800 for men 1800-2200 - is the general guideline
Are you limiting the foods that need to be limited? Cheese, artificial sweetener, atkins products, cream etc?.
There will be times when your body simply takes a break from losing. tick with the program - although many people can reach ketosis after several days, it takes several weeks for your body to become keto-adapted and burn fat for fuel efficiently. You do not want to sabotage your progress by eating off plan
Stalls and plateaus are a normal part of any weight loss journey. Learning how to work through them is important for long term success. Atkins is a way of eating for a healthy lifestyle - for the rest of your life - not a quick fix fad diet.
For individual help - try posting what you are eating so we can have a look and see if there is something you are issing or something you are doing that may be hindering your progress.
Best of luck to all of you.
